Your Involvement

Hi, or as we say in Uganda, oli-otya

Thank you all for following my story and loving me.  I am excited to say that over 130 people have seen my page and my story!

If you haven’t read my previous blog, then let me catch you up.  I have a heart for the people in Uganda and I have the privilege to go on a trip in March.  I started this blog so I could share my passion and so that people could follow my story and know how to pray for my mom and me as we plan for our trip.

Lets jump back to about a month ago…

On the first day of our church’s Missions Conference, my mom walked into her office (she’s on staff at First Baptist Church of Temple Terrace) and an envelope was on her desk. The envelope said, “God placed you and Wally on my heart.”  Inside that envelope was $500. God has blessed our family before in this way but usually as a result of a specific financial need my parents had been praying for.  This time, our family didn’t know of a specific need.  We have been praying on how to use that money for the past month and we finally know how.  On Monday, our first payment is due. The cost of the payment is exactly $500.  God laid us on the heart of these people and before we even knew the game plan, God did.  This is just another confirmation that the trip to Uganda is what God wants for me to do!

If you feel like God is telling you that you need to help, here are some intentional ways you can help

  1. We are offering gift wrapping services for anyone who gives any kind of donation.  You buy your presents, bring them to us and we will wrap them  for you.
  2. We are making special Christmas crafts – canvasses and ornaments- which will be available for you to purchase. My next blog update will have pictures and info about that.

Again, I would like to thank all of you for supporting me.  If you can’t give financially, we would love your support in prayer!!  Our next significant payment is due on December 9.  We know God will provide!  Look at what He had already done!
